Let Go & Let God

This blog entry is a little more personal.

Lately, I’ve found myself in one of those in-between seasons — the kind where you’re doing all the “right” things, but still feel heavy, unsure, or just… tired. Writing this isn’t from a place of having it all figured out, but from the middle of processing, praying, and learning to surrender in real time.

I wanted to share what’s been on my heart — not because I have all the answers, but because maybe you’ve been feeling it too. And if even one part of this helps lift the weight off your shoulders the way God’s been lifting it off mine, then it’s worth sharing.

A Prayer for Surrender

Here’s a prayer I’ve been holding close lately. If you’re in a season of uncertainty or feeling the nudge to release something that’s been heavy on your heart, I hope this helps in surrendering your worries to God:

Father God,
I come before You with open hands and a tender heart.
You already know every thought that weighs me down and every worry that keeps me up at night.
You see the silent fears I try to manage, the questions I don’t have answers to, and the moments when my faith feels fragile.
But even in that… You remain faithful.

So I lay it all down before You —
Every anxious thought.
Every lingering doubt.
Every burden I was never meant to carry.

I surrender the pressure to have it all figured out.
I release the fear of what’s ahead and the weight of what’s behind.

Your Word says to cast our cares on You because You care for us —
So here I am, letting go, and trusting that You will take it from here.

Cover me with Your peace — not the temporary kind the world gives, but the deep, steady peace that surpasses all understanding.
Calm my racing thoughts.
Anchor my heart in truth.
And remind me that I don’t walk alone — not now, not ever.

Lord, I choose to surrender today.
Not as a sign of defeat, but as a declaration of faith.

Thank You for being my refuge, my protector, my ever-present help in time of need.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Let It Out, Then Let It Go

Sometimes when I can’t quite figure out what’s going on inside, writing/journaling helps me get to the root. If you’re the same way, here are some questions I’ve been sitting with. Maybe they’ll help you unpack what might need to be released too:

  • What parts of my past am I still carrying that God may be asking me to release?

  • What responsibilities or relationships are making me feel overwhelmed, and how might I surrender control and trust God instead?

  • Is there any part of me that feels the need to prove I’m okay?

  • Am I still trying to make something work out of pride, fear, or obligation?

  • What would it look like to rest instead of strive?

Letting go isn’t weakness — it’s worship.
It’s telling God, “I trust You more than I trust my own timeline, strategy, or strength.”

Speak These Over Yourself

If you’re ready to shift into surrender, here are a few affirmations to ground you in truth:

  • I am not who I used to be.

  • I release old burdens and walk in new grace.

  • I trust God to lead me, provide for me, and give me rest.

  • I am safe, seen, and fully loved — I don’t have to carry this alone.

Letting go might feel uncomfortable, especially if you’ve been the strong one, the planner, the person everyone leans on. But real peace comes not from having it all figured out, but from placing it all in God’s hands.

You don’t have to carry it all. You don’t have to carry it alone. You just have to release it… and let God.

XO,

The Kléi
