“This is amazing...” - Moses (Exodus 3:3, NLT)

I’ve recently started the 75 Soft challenge. The rules are simple: one 45-minute workout a day, drink 3 liters of water, read 10 pages daily, and eat well. I decided to add one more rule—read one chapter of the Bible each day—and I’m so glad I did. This wellness journey isn’t just physical for me; it’s spiritual too, if not spiritual first.

Right now, I’m reading the book of Exodus, and I’ve been so encouraged and inspired by the story of Moses. His life was marked by uncertainty, challenge, and ultimately, unwavering trust in God. Moses’ journey from a hesitant shepherd to the leader who delivered the Israelites from Egypt is a powerful testament to how faith can grow, evolve, and empower us to face the impossible.

Growing up, I heard Bible stories and imagined the great prophets had it all figured out. But reading Exodus now, I see that Moses’ faith was a journey. When God called him, Moses wasn’t perfect—he was hesitant, fearful, ashamed, and even embarrassed. His story begins with doubt: when God spoke to him from the burning bush, Moses questioned his own abilities, asking, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh?” (Exodus 3:11). He was insecure about his speech and afraid of failure (Exodus 4:10), but God’s response was always the same: “I will be with you” (Exodus 4:12). That assurance didn’t remove Moses’ obstacles, but it gave him the courage to face what seemed impossible.

As Moses confronted Pharaoh, led his people through the Red Sea, and wandered in the wilderness, his faith was tested again and again. Each trial—whether it was the plagues, the complaints of the Israelites, or the scarcity of resources—became an opportunity for Moses to trust God more deeply. His faith wasn’t static; it was a living, growing relationship, shaped by obedience and reliance on God’s promises.

Today, just like in Moses’ time, “faithin’ it” means moving forward even when the path is unclear. We all face situations that seem overwhelming—career changes, health crises, family challenges. Moses’ story teaches us that faith may not make life easy, but it gives us the strength to persevere. Faith invites us to trust in something greater than ourselves, to act even when we’re afraid, and to believe that our journey has purpose.

Ultimately, Moses’ story reminds us that faith is not a one-time decision, but a daily practice. By “faithin’ it,” we open ourselves to transformation, courage, and hope—no matter what obstacles we face or where our journey leads.

The Kléi
