Making the Most of the Last Two Months of the Year

Is it November already?!?
One minute we’re making summer plans, and now the year is tapping us on the shoulder saying, “Hey… just two months left.”
But don’t panic — this isn’t a race to cram everything in before midnight on December 31st. Think of it more like a gentle check-in. A moment to pause, look around, and decide how you want to finish the year with purpose.
Step One: Take a Little Inventory
Not the boring spreadsheet kind — the life kind.
Ask yourself:
What’s gone really well this year (big or small)?
What felt draining that you don’t want to carry into next year?
What’s still on your heart that deserves one more try before the year wraps up?
It’s less about measuring success and more about acknowledging and giving yourself credit for the quiet growth. You might be surprised by how much you’ve already done without even realizing it.
Step Two: Make Room for What Matters
November and December can get busy fast — full of to-do lists, social plans, and holiday plans. But before things ramp up, carve out a little breathing room for what you actually care about.
Maybe that means saying yes to fewer events and more cozy nights in.
Maybe it’s reconnecting with someone you miss.
Or maybe it’s just slowing down enough to feel the moments instead of racing through them.
Step Three: Add a Little Fun Goal
Let’s make “finishing the year strong” sound less like a gym commercial and more like an invitation.
Pick one small thing you’d love to do before the year ends — something that makes you feel creative or happy.
Learn a new recipe. Take a weekend road trip. Start that book that’s been collecting dust.
It doesn’t have to be overly complicated; just something for you.
Step Four: Give Yourself Credit
You’ve made it through 10 full months of ups, downs and curveballs. You’ve evolved, handled more than you thought you could, and shown up when it mattered.
That deserves to be celebrated — not in a “checklist accomplished” kind of way, but in a “hey, I’ve lived, learned, and I’m still going” kind of way!
So Here’s the Plan
Let the next two months be about intentional enjoyment.
More peace, less pressure.
More reflection, less rush.
Andddd… maybe even one last bold, spontaneous moment before the calendar flips, LOL.
Remember, you don’t have to have it all figured out in these last two months— just make each day count :)
