Hello, November: A Month to Live Grateful, Always

11.02.26

By: Ray SaVonne

There is something about November that naturally invites us to slow down and reflect. The changing of the season, the gathering of loved ones, and the reminders of all we have to be thankful for make this month a special time to practice gratitude.

As we welcome a new month, consider this your reminder that gratitude doesn't have to be grand or tied to a particular milestone. Sometimes, it's found in the answered prayer you've been waiting on. Other times, it's in the quiet moments, the unexpected opportunities, the lessons learned, or simply the grace to begin again.

Finding Gratitude in the Everyday

It's easy to recognize God's goodness when life is going according to plan. But gratitude also invites us to look beyond our circumstances and recognize that His goodness remains, even when life looks different than we imagined. There is something powerful about taking the time to acknowledge what God is doing in your life, including the things you may have overlooked along the way.

Psalm 107:1 reminds us:

"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever."

Gratitude shifts our perspective. It reminds us that even in seasons of waiting, growing, stretching, and becoming, there is still something worth giving thanks for, and the more intentional we become about recognizing those moments, the more we begin to see just how much there is to be grateful for.

Turning Gratitude Into a Daily Practice

Throughout this year, Shariah and I have been more intentional about making gratitude a part of our everyday lives. Not just acknowledging the big moments or answered prayers, but learning to appreciate the little things, recognize God's presence in every season, and make room to reflect on all that He is doing. That intentionality inspired us to create our newest digital journal, Grateful, Always.

We wanted to create something that would encourage others to build a deeper, more consistent practice of gratitude while spending intentional time in God's Word. Something that reminds you to look beyond the obvious blessings and recognize that there is always something new to discover, reflect on, and give thanks for. We designed it as a 365-day Scripture and gratitude journal, bringing together daily Scripture, fresh reflection prompts, and space to document the lessons, blessings, challenges, and moments of gratitude that shape your year. If you're also on a journey to be more intentional about gratitude, check them out here.

A Little Reminder for November

As you move through this month, don't feel pressured to have everything figured out or to find something extraordinary to be thankful for every single day. Give yourself permission to appreciate where you are, acknowledge how far you've come, and trust God with what is still unfolding. You don't have to wait for the next answered prayer, the next milestone, or the next season to recognize how much you already have. There is goodness in the growing, grace in the waiting, and purpose in the everyday.

So, here's to a November filled with intentional moments, a renewed perspective, and a heart that continues to find reasons to give thanks.

Welcome, November. Let's live Grateful, Always.

xo,

The Kléi
